Verse Text
pādme ca—
kṛṣṇa-nāmākṣarair gātram aṅkayec candanādinā |
sa loka-pāvano bhutvā tasya lokam avāpnuyāt ||124||
Translation
It is said in the Padma Purāṇa as well: He who has the syllables of Kṛṣṇa’s names marked on his body with candana, after purifying this world, attains the planet of the Lord.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
The Padma Purāṇa also mentions, “A person whose body is decorated with the pulp of sandalwood, with paintings of the holy name of the Lord, is delivered from all sinful reactions, and after his death he goes directly to Kṛṣṇaloka to live in association with the Supreme Personality of Godhead.”
