24. agre tāṇḍavaṁ, yathā dvārakā-māhātmye—
yo nṛtyati prahṛṣṭātmā bhāvair bahuṣu bhaktitaḥ |
sa nirdahati pāpāni manvantara-śateṣv api ||127||
Translation
Dancing before the deity (verse 84), shown in the Dvārakā-māhātmya: He who joyfully dances with many emotions before the Lord burns up sins, which have been committed for the duration of many hundreds of manvantara periods. [Note: A manvantara lasts 71.43 yuga cycles.]

Dancing Before the Deity
In the Dvārakā-māhātmya the importance of dancing before the Deity is stated by Lord Kṛṣṇa as follows: “A person who is in a jubilant spirit, who feels profound devotional ecstasy while dancing before Me, and who manifests different features of bodily expression can burn away all the accumulated sinful reactions he has stocked up for many, many thousands of years.”
