Verse Text

purāṇāntare— saṁsāra-maru-kāntāra-nistāra-karaṇa-kṣamau | slāghyau tāv eva caraṇau yau hares tīrtha-gāminau ||133||

Translation

In another purāṇa it is said: The two feet, which go to the tīrtha of the Lord, are praiseworthy, since they enable one to cross over the dangerous desert of saṁsāra.

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

It is stated in the Purāṇas, “Persons who attempt to visit the holy places of pilgrimage, like Vṛndāvana, Mathurā or Dvārakā, are actually glorified. By such traveling activities, they can pass over the desert of material existence.”
