Verse Text
yathā pādme—
kṛṣṇāya nama ity eṣa mantraḥ sarvārtha-sādhakaḥ |
bhaktānāṁ japatāṁ bhūpa svarga-mokṣa-phala-pradaḥ ||150||
Translation
Padma Purāṇa illustrates this: Chanting very softly the mantra, “kṛṣṇāya namaḥ”, produces all benefits. O king, Svarga and liberation are bestowed to the devotees who perform japa of this mantra.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
In the Padma Purāṇa there is a statement: “For any person who is chanting the holy name either softly or loudly, the paths to liberation and even heavenly happiness are at once open.”
