Verse Text
yathā viṣṇu-purāṇe—
smṛte sakala-kalyāṇa-bhājanaṁ yatra jāyate |
puruṣaṁ tam ajaṁ nityaṁ vrajāmi śaraṇaṁ harim ||176||
Translation
This is illustrated in the Viṣṇu-purāṇa (5.17.17): I surrender to the unborn, eternal person Hari, by remembrance of whom one takes possession of all auspiciousness.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
About this remembrance there is a nice statement in the Viṣṇu Purāṇa, where it is said, “Simply by remembering the Supreme Personality of Godhead all living entities become eligible for all kinds of auspiciousness. Therefore let me always remember the Lord, who is unborn and eternal.”
