Verse Text
ādi-purāṇe ca—
gītvā ca mama nāmāni vicaren mama sannidhau |
iti bravīmi te satyaṁ krīto ’haṁ tasya cārjuna ||231||
Translation
In the Ādi Purāṇa it is said: By singing My names, a person will attain a position close to Me. I make this promise. That person, O Arjuna, purchases me.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
The same thing is confirmed in the Ādi Purāṇa by Kṛṣṇa. While addressing Arjuna He says, “Anyone who is engaged in chanting My transcendental name must be considered to be always associating with Me. And I may tell you frankly that for such a devotee I become easily purchased.”
