dvādaśe śrī-rudroktau—
naivecchaty āśiṣaḥ kvāpi brahmarṣir mokṣam apy uta |
bhaktiṁ parāṁ bhagavati labdhavān puruṣe ’vyaye ||43||
Translation
In the Twelfth Canto Śiva speaks: Surely, this saintly brāhmaṇa does not desire any benediction, not even liberation itself, for he has attained pure devotional service unto the inexhaustible Personality of Godhead. SB 12.10.6
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
In the Twelfth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Tenth Chapter, verse 6, Lord Śiva says to Devī, “My dear Devī, this great brāhmaṇa sage Mārkaṇḍeya has attained unflinching faith and devotion unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and as such he does not aspire after any benedictions, including liberation from the material world.”
