Verse Text

dhanyasyāyaṁ navaḥ premā yasyonmīlati cetasi | antarvāṇībhir apy asya mudrā suṣṭhu sudurgamā ||17||

Translation

This ever fresh prema arises in the heart of a person who is very fortunate. That person’s behavior is very difficult to comprehend even for those knowledgeable of scriptures.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Antar-vāṇibhiḥ means “by the knowers of scripture.” Mudrā means behavior.

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

Only the most fortunate persons can achieve such success in life. Those who are simply academic students of the Vedic scriptures cannot appreciate how such a development takes place.
