Verse Text
gambhīratvādi-sāmānya-guṇā yad iha kīrtitāḥ |
tad eteṣu tad-ādhikya-pratipādana-hetave ||228||
Translation
All the qualities in the particular list mentioned in relation to Kṛṣṇa should be understood to manifest more prominently in these four types than other qualities, though the other qualities are also present.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
In the first three types, the qualities listed are those which are more prominent than other qualities present. They suppress the other qualities in order to manifest themselves clearly in those types.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
The above statement by the King of heaven is an exact corroboration of Kṛṣṇa’s being dhīrodātta.
