Verse Text
tatra śobhā –
nīce dayādhike spardhā śauryotsāhau ca dakṣatā |
satyaṁ ca vyaktim āyāti yatra śobheti tāṁ viduḥ ||253||
Translation
Among the ornaments of auspiciousness, where there is mercy to those who are lower, emulation of those who one regards as greater, as well as courage, enthusiasm, expertise and truth, it is known as śobha (glory).
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Adhike here means “to those whom one respects as superior.” Yatra means “in these ornaments of auspiciousness.”

Decorated
It is said that a person is great if he is decorated with the qualities of being very merciful toward the unfortunate, very powerful, superior, chivalrous, enthusiastic, expert and truthful.
