yathā vā –
ye bhakti-prabhaviṣṇutā-kavalita-kleśormayaḥ kurvate
dṛk-pāte ’pi ghṛṇāṁ kṛta-praṇatiṣu prāyeṇa mokṣādiṣu |
tān prema-prasarotsava-stavakita-svāntān pramodāśrubhir
nirdhautāsya-taṭān muhuḥ pulakino dhanyān namaskurmahe ||284||
Translation
Another example: I offer respects to the great devotees who have destroyed all suffering by the power of bhakti, who usually hate to glance upon the four objects including liberation even though they offer respects to the devotees, whose hearts are full of the bliss of strong prema, whose faces are washed in tears of bliss and whose limbs are covered in goose bumps.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Using the word prāyena (usually) indicates that sometimes those devotees may have desires for the four goals as follows:
sarvaṁ mad-bhakti-yogena mad-bhakto labhate ’ṣjasā
svargāpavargaṁ mad-dhāma kathaṣcid yadi vāṣchati
If somehow or other, My devotee desires promotion to heaven, liberation, or residence in My abode, he easily achieves such benedictions. SB 11.20.33

Anyone desiring advancement in devotional service must follow in the footsteps of such devotees.
Prahlāda Mahārāja said that no one can attain the perfectional stage of devotional service without bowing down before exalted devotees.
