Verse Text

jīveṣu ete vasanto ’pi bindu-bindutayā kvacit | paripūrṇatayā bhānti tatraiva puruṣottame ||30||

Translation

These qualities are present even in the jīvas to a very small degree now and then. However, they are present in full in the Supreme Lord.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

“Now and then” (kvacit) means that those jīvas who receive the mercy of the Lord exhibit the majority of these qualities. Even then, the qualities are present as small drops only. The qualities are present in others (who do not receive the Lord’s mercy) only as a mere semblance (ābhāsa). [Note: This implies that those qualities are not real.]

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

As parts and parcels of the Supreme Lord, the individual living entities can also possess all of these qualities in minute quantities, provided they become pure devotees of the Lord. In other words, all of the above transcendental qualities can be present in the devotees in minute quantity, whereas the qualities in fullness are always present in the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
