Verse Text

ādyaṁ madhyaṁ tathā śeṣaṁ kaiśoraṁ trividhaṁ bhavet ||312||

Translation

Youth (kaiśora) has three divisions: beginning, middle and end.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Śeṣa or the end, in the case of Kṛṣṇa means that He remains (śiṣyate) eternally at that age. This is the most complete condition as far as age is concerned (rather than a complete end). On the strength of analyzing the derivation of the word, one should also understand that most perfect condition by the word carama, which will be used in verse 327. Carama is related to carati, which means that the youthful age continues (carati) eternally after making its appearance, rather than declining like childhood and boyhood, and losing its beauty.

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

Kṛṣṇa’s kaiśora age may be divided into three parts.
