Translation

An example of the skilful meaning of words is as follows: The words of Kṛṣṇa, skilful at changing the hearts of His adversaries, superior to all in extinguishing all doubts in the universe, authoritative and economical, endowed with many meanings, have today made all my mental functions blissful.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

These are the words of Uddhava. The first line shows His skill in satisfying others. The second line shows His skill in logic. The third line shows His skill in speaking truth. Pramita akṣara can mean measured words (not wasting words) or authoritative words. He uses colorful meanings of words while arguing, reasoning and concluding (vividhārtha-mayī). The fourth line shows His skill in creativity or imagination.

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

Kṛṣṇa’s speech, which contains all good qualities in the universe, is described in the following statement by Uddhava: “The words of Kṛṣṇa are so attractive that they can immediately change the heart of even His opponent. His words can immediately solve all of the questions and problems of the world. Although He does not speak very long, each and every word from His mouth contains volumes of meaning. These speeches of Kṛṣṇa are very pleasing to my heart.”
