Verse Text
yathā vā –
aghahara kuru yugmībhūya nṛtyaṁ mayaiva
tvam iti nikhila-gopī-prārthanā-pūrti-kāmaḥ |
atanuta gati-līlā-lāghavormiṁ tathāsau
dadṛśur adhikam etās taṁ yathā sva-sva-pārśve ||90||
Translation
Another example: “O killer of the Agha demon! Please dance only with me!” Desiring to fulfill this request by all of the gopīs, Kṛṣṇa quickly produced a multitude of gopīs and Himself going to a suitable place and performing the dance--but in such a manner that each of the gopīs without doubt saw Him at her side alone.

Adhikam here means “undoubtedly.” They saw Him at each of their sides without doubt.

Similarly, at the rāsa dance, each and every gopī requested that Kṛṣṇa individually become her partner, and Kṛṣṇa immediately expanded Himself into so many Kṛṣṇas in order to be coupled with each and every gopī. The result was that each gopī found Kṛṣṇa by her side.
