tatra mukhyāḥ – ākramān mukhyayā ratyā mukhyāḥ syuḥ sāttvikā amī | vijṣeyaḥ kṛṣṇa-sambandhaḥ sākṣād evātra sūribhiḥ ||4||

Translation

Principal snigdha-sāttvika-bhāva: The principal sāttvika-bhāvas arise from a principal rati. The wise call this relationship with Kṛṣṇa direct.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

The nature of snigdha-sāttvika-bhāvas is that the heart is overcome by either the principal or the secondary ratis, which will be explained. In general, the characteristic of all snigdha-sāttvika-bhāvas should be understood in this way. The heart should be agitated by any one of these types of ratis.
