Verse Text
roṣeṇa, yathā hari-vaṁśe (2.66.24) –
tasyāḥ susrāva netrābhyāṁ vāri praṇaya-kopajam |
kuśeśaya-palāśābhyām avaśyāya-jalaṁ yathā ||55||
Translation
From anger, from Hari-vaṁśa: From the lotus-petal eyes of Satyabhāmā fell tears generated by angry affection, like drops of dew.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Tasyāḥ (her) indicates Satyabhāmā. In describing the tears as dew, the intention is to show the brilliance of the tears, not their coldness, since the tears generated through anger are actually warm, not cold.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
There is a passage in the Hari-vaṁśa wherein Satyabhāmā begins to shed tears because of her great affection for Kṛṣṇa.
