Verse Text
tatra ādyāḥ –
mumukṣu-pramukheṣv ādyā raty-ābhāsāt puroditāt ||84||
Translation
Ratyābhāsa-bhava-sattvikābhāsa, symptoms which appear to be sāttvika-bhāvas, generated from the ratyābhāsa described previously, arises in people desiring liberation.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
Sometimes impersonalists, who are not actually in devotional service, may also exhibit such symptoms of ecstatic love, but this is not accepted as actual ecstasy. It is a reflection only.
