Verse Text
atha pratīpāḥ –
hitād anyasya kṛṣṇasya pratīpāḥ krud-bhayādibhiḥ ||92||
Translation
Sāttvikābhāsa within the enemies of Kṛṣṇa generated from anger or fear is called pratīpa-sāttvikābhāsa.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Krṣṇasya hitād means persons other than those who are favorable to Kṛṣṇa, His enemies. Pratīpa-sāttvikābhāsa appears in persons who are Kṛṣṇa’s enemies, through anger or fear.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
Although there is no need to describe these reflections of ecstatic love, Rūpa Gosvāmī gives some instances where there is no actual devotional service and such expressions are manifested.
