Verse Text
tatra krudhā, yathā hari-vaṁśe (2.30.63) –
tasya prasphuritauṣṭhasya raktādhara-taṭasya ca |
vaktraṁ kaṁsasya roṣeṇa rakta-sūryāyate tadā ||93||
Translation
From anger, from Hari-vaṁśa: With red lower lip and trembling upper lip, Kaṁsa’s face appeared like the sun, red with anger.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
Although there is no need to describe these reflections of ecstatic love, Rūpa Gosvāmī gives some instances where there is no actual devotional service and such expressions are manifested.
