yathā vā –
pravācyamāne purataḥ purāṇe
niśamya kaṁsasya bhayātirekam |
pariplavāntaḥkaraṇaḥ samantāt
parimlāna-mukhas tadāsīt ||95||
Translation
Another example of fear: Hearing of Kaṁsa’s extreme fear during a recital of the Purāṇas, one person (identifying with Kaṁsa’s fear) began to tremble within and his face darkened.

Although there is no need to describe these reflections of ecstatic love, Rūpa Gosvāmī gives some instances where there is no actual devotional service and such expressions are manifested.
