Verse Text
gandhena, yathā –
aciram agha-hareṇa tyāgataḥ srasta-gātrī
vana-bhuvi śavalāṅgī śānta-niḥśvāsa-vṛttiḥ |
prasarati vana-mālā saurabhe paśya rādhā
pulakita-tanur eṣā pāṁśu-puṣjād udasthāt ||184||
Translation
Arising from smell: When Kṛṣṇa once disappeared from the presence of Rādhā, she lost control of her limbs, lost her color, and lost her breath. She fell on the forest earth. When the fragrance of Kṛṣṇa’s forest garland spread in all directions, Rādhā’s hairs stood on end by smelling the fragrance, and look--she rose from the earth.

This is an incident when Kṛṣṇa disappeared as a joke.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
One day, in a joking mood, Kṛṣṇa informed Rādhārāṇī, “My dear Rādhārāṇī, I am going to give up Your company.” Upon saying this, He immediately disappeared, and because of this Rādhārāṇī became so afflicted that the hue of Her body changed, and She immediately fell down upon the ground of Vṛndāvana. She had practically stopped breathing, but when She smelled the fragrance of the flowers on the ground, She awoke in ecstasy and got up. This is an instance of transcendental alertness caused by smelling.
