prahārasya vibhāvatvaṁ saṁmoha-pralayau prati |
augryaṁ pratyanubhāvatvam evaṁ jṣeyāḥ pare ’pi ca ||201||
Translation
Beating is the cause of moha (vyabhicāri-bhāva) and pralaya (sāttvika-bhāva). It is also the effect of augrya (ferocity, vyabhicāri-bhāva). Other states should be understood similarly.
