nirvedaḥ krodha-vaśyatvād ayaṁ vyavahito rateḥ ||212||
Translation
In the above verse, nirveda (self-deprecation) is under the control of the secondary rati of anger. Thus it is called indirect, or vyavahita.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Krodha means krodha-rati. This sthāyi-bhāva produces the secondary rasa of raudra. Thus the rati is considered secondary.
