atha śābalyam –
śabalatvaṁ tu bhāvānāṁ saṁmardaḥ syāt parasparam ||244||
Translation
When many bhāvas conflict with each other, the state is called śābalya.

This condition arises when the slight remnants of previous bhāvas remain.
