unmajjanti nimajjanti sthāyiny amṛta-vāridhau |
ūrmivad vardhayanty enaṁ yānti tad-rūpatāṁ ca te ||3||
Translation
All the vyabhicāri-bhāvas, rising and falling like waves in the sweet ocean of the sthāyi-bhāva, increase the sthāyi-bhāva and then merge into the sthāyi-bhāva.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
This verse describes where the vyabhicāri-bhāvas appear and compares them to a familiar object. The two parts of the sentence are joined together as one statement.

There are some bodily symptoms which express overwhelming ecstatic love (vyabhicāri-bhāva). They are counted at thirty-three as follows: disappointment, lamentation, humility, guilt, fatigue, intoxication, pride, doubt, apprehension, intense emotion, madness, forgetfulness, disease, confusion, death, laziness, inertness, bashfulness, concealment, remembrance,k argumentativeness, anxiety, thoughtfulness, endurance, happiness, eagerness, violence, haughtiness, envy, impudence, dizziness, sleepiness and alertness.
