Verse Text
āvegābhāsa evāyaṁ parāśrayatāpi cet |
nāyakotkarṣa-bodhāya tathāpy atra nidarśitaḥ ||78||
Translation
Though the above example is actually only an ābhāsa of āvega, being the sentiment of āvega in non-devotees, taking Kṛṣṇa as the enemy, because it reveals the superior nature of Kṛṣṇa, it is given as an example.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Here it is understood that by hearing about demons being defeated by Kṛṣṇa’s party, the devotees become joyful, and their rati increases. For this purpose, such examples are given.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī is trying to prove by the above examples that in relationship with Kṛṣṇa there is no question of impersonalism. All personal activities are there in relationship with Kṛṣṇa.
