evaṁ bhakti-raso bhedād dvayor dvādaśadhocyate |
vastutas tu purāṇādau paṣcadhaiva vilokyate ||117||
Translation
Thus there are a total of twelve primary and secondary rasas, but in the Purāṇas only five are mentioned.
