Verse Text
anācānta-dhiyāṁ tat-tad-bhāva-niṣṭhā sukhārṇave |
āryāṇām atiśuddhānāṁ prāyaḥ svacchā ratir bhavet ||15||
Translation
Those very pure persons whose hearts are fickle because of lack of a particular taste for the ocean of happiness of the higher rasas and who thus must conduct themselves according to the rules of scriptures generally develop svaccha-rati.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
These persons, because their hearts are not fixed in a particular taste (anācānta dhiyām) must conduct themselves according to the rules of scripture (āryāṇām). The word ārya-caritān in the following verse similarly means “following the path of the scriptures.”
kā stry aṅga te kala-padāyata-veṇu-gīta-
sammohitārya-caritān na calet tri-lokyām
trailokya-saubhagam idaṁ ca nirīkṣya rūpaṁ
yad go-dvija-druma-mṛgāḥ pulakāny abibhran
My dear Lord Kṛṣṇa, where is that woman within the three worlds, who follows the rules of scripture, who would not be captivated by the rhythms of the sweet songs coming from Your wonderful flute? Who would not fall down from the path of chastity in this way? Your beauty is the most sublime within the three worlds. Upon seeing Your beauty, even cows, birds, animals and trees in the forest become stunned in jubilation. SB 10.29.40
