Verse Text
tatha coktam –
vihāya viṣayonmukhyaṁ nijānanda-sthitir yataḥ
ātmanaḥ kathyate so ’tra svabhāvaḥ śama ity asau ||17||
Translation
It is said by the ancients: That nature by which a person is situated in the bliss of his own ātmā after giving up pursuit of material objects is called śama.
