Translation

Another example: Śrīdāma said: Your pride has become impoverished enough in being defeated by the strength of my arms. Having boasted, say goodbye to the queen called shame (and defeat me).

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Considering yourself a king, your queen (devyai hriye) is shame. Instead of devyai sometimes sakhyai (friend) is seen in the verse.

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

One friend criticized Kṛṣṇa thus: “My dear Dāmodara, although You have been defeated by Śrīdāmā and have become sufficiently minimized in strength, by a false expression of strength You have somehow covered Your shameful condition of defeat.”
