brahmāṇḍa-koṭi-dhāmaika-roma-kūpaḥ kṛpāmbudhiḥ | avicintya-mahā-śaktiḥ sarva-siddhi-niṣevitaḥ ||11|| avatārāvalī-bījaṁ sadātmārāma-hṛd-guṇaḥ | īśvaraḥ paramārādhyaḥ sarvajṣaḥ sudṛḍha-vrataḥ ||12|| samṛddhimān kṣamā-śīlaḥ śaraṇāgata-pālakaḥ | dakṣiṇaḥ satya-vacano dakṣaḥ sarva-śubhaṅkaraḥ ||13|| pratāpī dhārmikaḥ śāstra-cakṣur bhakta-suhṛttamaḥ | vadānyas tejasā yuktaḥ kṛtajṣaḥ kīrti-saṁśrayaḥ ||14|| varīyān balavān prema-vaśya ity ādibhir guṇaiḥ | yutaś catur-vidheṣv eṣa dāseṣv ālambano hariḥ ||15||

Translation

The Lord, in whose hair holes reside billions of universes, is an ocean of mercy. He is endowed with inconceivable powers and all perfections. He is the seed of all avatāras, is always attractive to the ātmārāmas, and is the supreme controller. He is most deserving of respect. He is omniscient, fixed in His vows, always increasing, and full of tolerance. He is the protector of those who surrender to Him, compliant, truthful, expert, all auspicious, the afflicter of the evil, and upholder of religious principles. He is the eye of scripture, the friend of the devotee, magnanimous, effulgent, full of gratitude, full of good qualities, the chief among all beings, and is controlled by prema. His form is the ālambana for four types of servants.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Though the Lord is of only medium size, He is the supreme form holding in His pores all the universes by His inconceivable śakti. This is illustrated in Bhāgavatam: na cāntar na bahir yasya na pūrvaṁ nāpi cāparam pūrvāparaṁ bahiś cāntar jagato yo jagac ca yaḥ taṁ matvātmajam avyaktaṁ martya-liṅgam adhokṣajam gopikolūkhale dāmnā babandha prākṛtaṁ yathā The Supreme Personality of Godhead has no beginning and no end, no exterior and no interior, no front and no rear. In other words, He is all-pervading. Because He is not under the influence of the element of time, for Him there is no difference between past, present and future; He exists in His own transcendental form at all times. Being absolute, beyond relativity, He is free from distinctions between cause and effect, although He is the cause and effect of everything. That unmanifested person, who is beyond the perception of the senses, had now appeared as a human child, and mother Yaśodā, considering Him her own ordinary child, bound Him to the wooden mortar with a rope. SB 10.9.13-14 However, the Lord is not related to this world. The Lord says this in the Gītā: mayā tatam idaṁ sarvaṁ jagad-avyaka-mūrtinā: I am spread throughout this universe by my unmanifested form. (BG 9.4) The semblance of relationship with the material universe is carried out by the puruṣāvatāras, not by Bhagavān in person. Thus, it is said: yasyāṁśāṁśāṁśa-bhāgena viśvotpatti-layodayāḥ bhavanti kila viśvātmaṁs taṁ tvādyāhaṁ gatiṁ gatā O Soul of all that be, the creation, maintenance and destruction of the universe are all carried out by a fraction of an expansion of an expansion of Your expansion. Today I have come to take shelter of You, the Supreme Lord. SB 10.85.31 The commentary on the Bhāgavatam says: yasyāṁśa means the puruṣāvatāra. A portion of that puruṣāvatāra is the material energy. The Lord does not reveal His power over the material energy everywhere, but rather in portions. Thus, the first form of the puruṣa is endowed with particular powers, and this is revealed to those who perform austerities.

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

Another devotee once said, “This Supreme Personality of Godhead from whose bodily pores come millions of universes, permanently rising, who is the ocean of mercy, who is the owner of inconceivable energies, who is always equipped with all perfections, who is the origin of all incarnations, who is the attraction for all liberated persons—this very Supreme Personality of Godhead is the supreme controller and the supremely worshipable. He is all-cognizant, fully determined and fully opulent. He is the emblem of forgiveness and the protector of surrendered souls. He is munificent, true to His promise, expert, all-auspicious, powerful and religious. He is a strict follower of the scripture, He is the friend of the devotees, and He is magnanimous, influential, grateful, reputable, respectable, full of all strength, and submissive to pure love. Surely He is the only shelter of devotees who are attracted to Him by the affection of servitorship.”
