Translation
Gaurava-prīti-Sthāyi-bhāva: The most sober Pradyumna could not open his mouth in order to speak to his father. He did not lift his tear-filled eyes, and threw only furtive glances at Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
In this reverential devotional attitude, Pradyumna never talked to his father in a loud voice. In fact, he never so much as unlocked the lips of his mouth, nor did he ever show his face filled with tears. He would always glance only at the lotus feet of his father.
