triṣv evāyoga-yogādyā bhedāḥ pūrvavad īritāḥ ||172||
Translation
The different definitions of ayoga and yoga and their subdivisions for gaurava-prīti, preyo and vatsala-rasa are the same as those of sambhrama-prīti-rasa.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
For the three (triṣu), prīti, preyo and vātsalya-rasas, the respective definitions for ayoga, yoga and their subdivisions, are the same as those previously described specifically in relation to sambhrama-prīti, but which were described for prīti-rasa in general (including gaurava). Instead of bhedā sometimes saṁjṣā (definition) is seen. However this verse indicates that for śānta-rasa, different definitions of pārokṣya and sākṣāṭkāra have been given, and for madhura-rasa, different definitions of vipralambha and sambhoga, and as well pūrva-rāga, will be given.
