atha viyogaḥ –
mano mameṣṭām api geṇḍu-līlāṁ
na vaṣṭi yogyāṁ ca tathāstra-yogyām |
gurau puraṁ kauravam abhyupete
kārām iva dvāravatīm avaiti ||174||
Translation
Separation after meeting: Since our father went to Indraprastha, my mind has no desire to practice weaponry or to play ball, though I am very fond of it. Dvārakā now seems like a prison.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Astra-yogyām means “practicing use of weapons.” Trikhāṇda-śeṣa (supplement of Amara-kośa) says abhyāsaḥ khuralī yogyeti: yogya means practice or military exercise.

Pradyumna felt great separation from Kṛṣṇa when He was absent from Dvārakā at the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra. He said, “Since my father has left Dvārakā, I do not take much pleasure in practicing fighting, nor am I interested in any kind of sporting pastimes. And what need is there to speak of these things? I do not even wish to stay at Dvārakā in the absence of my father.”
