tatra purasthāḥ –
sucandro maṇḍanaḥ stambaḥ sutambādyāḥ purānugāḥ |
eṣāṁ pārṣadavat prāyo rūpālaṅkāraṇādayaḥ ||39||
Translation
Sucandra, Maṇḍana, Stamba, Sutamba are some of the anugas in Dvārakā. Their forms and ornaments are almost the same as those of the pāriṣadas.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
Examples of such followers are Sucandra, Maṇḍana, Stamba and Sutamba. They are all inhabitants of the city of Dvārakā, and they are dressed and ornamented like the other associates.
