Translation

Kṛṣṇa’s mercy, attaining His foot dust or food remnants, and association with Kṛṣṇa’s devotees are some of the unique uddīpanas (stimuli) for this rasa.

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Uddīpanas such as attaining Kṛṣṇa’s mercy are not uddīpanas for vātsalya-rasa at all. At particular times these uddīpanas unique to dāsya-bhakti occur. Association with the devotees of Kṛṣṇa implies in this case special types of association (with dāsya-bhaktas).

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

NoD 37: Impetuses for Kṛṣṇa’s Service The causeless mercy of Kṛṣṇa, the dust of His lotus feet, His prasāda and association with His devotees are some impetuses toward a devotee’s engagement in transcendental loving service to the Lord.
