Verse Text
eṣā tu sambhrama-prītiḥ prāpnuvaty uttarottaram |
vṛddhiṁ premā tataḥ snehas tato rāga iti tridhā ||78||
Translation
Sambhrama-prīti gradually increases in three stages to prema, sneha and finally rāga.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
Reverential devotion for the Lord gradually increases and transforms itself into ecstatic love, then affection and then attachment.
