Verse Text
tatra ādyam –
sthūla-madhyorutāpāṅga-śvetimā svalpa-dantatā |
pravyakta-mārdavatvaṁ ca kaumāre prathame sati ||19||
Translation
The first part of kaumāra: At the beginning of the kaumāra age, His waist and thighs are chubby. The edges of His eyes are white; His teeth begin to appear slightly and His body is very tender.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Sthūla-madhyorutā means His middle section and thighs were bulky.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
During the beginning and middle of the kaumāra age, Kṛṣṇa’s thighs are fatty, and the inner parts of His eyes are whitish. There are signs of teeth coming out, and He is very mild and gentle.
