Verse Text

yathoktaṁ śrī-daśame– citraṁ bataitad ekena vapuṣā yugapat pṛthak | gṛheṣu dvy-aṣṭa-sāhasraṁ striya eka udāvahat ||7||

Translation

This is described in the Tenth Canto: It is quite amazing that in a single body Lord Kṛṣṇa simultaneously married sixteen thousand women, each in a separate palace. SB 10.69.2

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

When Nārada came to see the activities of the Lord at Dvārakā and he saw that Kṛṣṇa was present within every palace in the same body and was engaged in different activities, he was struck with wonder. This is one of the examples of astonishment in devotional service by direct perception.
