Verse Text
tathā ca hari-vaṁśe –
tathā gāṇḍīva-dhanvānaṁ vikrīḍan madhusūdanaḥ |
jigāya bharata-śreṣṭhaṁ kuntyāḥ pramukhato vibhuḥ || iti | ||10||
Translation
From Hari-vaṁśa: The Lord Madhusūdana in front of Kuntī defeated Arjuna, wielder of the Gāṇḍīva, the best of the Bharata dynasty, in mock battle.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
There is a statement in the Hari-vaṁśa that sometimes Arjuna and Kṛṣṇa fought in the presence of Kuntī, and Arjuna would be defeated by Kṛṣṇa.
