Verse Text
ayam eva bhavann uccaiḥ prauḍha-bhāva-viśeṣa-bhāk |
dhuryādīnāṁ tṛtīyasya vīrasya padavīṁ vrajet ||46||
Translation
Some of these tyāgīs, by partaking of intense dāsya-bhāva, attain the level of vīra among the three types of pāriṣadas (dhuryā, dhīra and vīra). [Note: These are mentioned in BRS 3.2.48. The vīra-pāriṣada is described as the devotee who takes shelter of Kṛṣṇa and has incomparable attraction for Kṛṣṇa, at the expense of all other attractions. BRS 3.2.53]
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Some of the tyāgīs (as sādhakas) develop special, deep bhāva (prauḍha-bhāva-viśeṣa-bhāk). In this case, the word viśeṣa (special) means they develop a particular dāsya-bhāva corresponding to their resolute practice. That is because each and every devotee attains a position corresponding to his mood of practice, while following the principle of giving up all desires except those to please the Lord.
