Translation

Fighting with Kṛṣṇa: O Mādhava! You are very unsteady, but You think that no one can beat You. If You do not flee from the fight, I will now defeat You and please Your friends!

Purport (Jiva Goswami)

Yadi na tvam samarāt parāṣcasi means “If you do not avoid the fight by saying You have given up fighting for the day.”

Purport (Nectar of Devotion)

A friend once challenged Kṛṣṇa thus: “My dear Mādhava, You are very restless because You think that no one can defeat You. But if You do not flee from here, then I shall show You how I can defeat You. And my friends will be very satisfied to see this!”
