tatra kṛṣṇe sakhyāḥ krodhaḥ –
sakhī-krodhe bhavet sakhyāḥ kṛṣṇād atyāhite sati ||3||
Translation
Sakhīs’ anger at Kṛṣṇa: The sakhīs will manifest anger towards Kṛṣṇa when their leader experiences great alarm caused by Kṛṣṇa.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Atyāhite means having great fear or danger. Ablative case (kṛṣṇāt) is used with atyāhite according to the rule bhītrānāṁ bhaya-hetuḥ: with words implying fear and protection from danger, ablative case is used for the cause of the danger or fear (Pāṇini 1.4.25).
