Verse Text
krodhāśrayāṇāṁ śatrūṇāṁ caidyādīnāṁ svabhāvataḥ |
krodho rati-vinābhāvān na bhakti-rasatāṁ vrajet ||33||
Translation
The inherent anger of enemies like Śiśupāla, being devoid of rati, does not become bhakti-rasa. Thus ends the Fifth Wave, concerning raudra-bhakti-rasa, in the Northern Section of Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu.
Purport (Nectar of Devotion)
Natural jealousy of Kṛṣṇa by persons like Śiśupāla cannot be accepted as ecstatic love in anger with Kṛṣṇa.
