kevale vatsale nāsti mukhyasya khalu sauhṛdam |
ato ’tra vatsale tasya natarāṁ likhitāṅgatā ||32||
Translation
In pure vatsala-rasa, there is no friendship with other primary rasas. For this reason, primary rasas as aṅgas for vatsala-rasa as aṅgī have not been described.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
In pure (kevale) vatsala-rasa there is no friendship with primary rasas. This observation can be ascertained by looking elsewhere in the text (verse 6). Thus, in discussing vatsala-rasa, the other primary rasas (tasya) have not been described here as aṅgas.
