Verse Text
yasya mukhyasya yo bhakto bhaven nitya-nijāśrayaḥ |
aṅgī sa eva tatra syān mukhyo ’py anyo ’ṅgatāṁ vrajet ||50||
Translation
The primary rasa which is revealed as one’s own, for which the particular devotee is the constant āśraya, remains predominant in that devotee (aṅgī), and other primary rasas become aṅgas.
Purport (Jiva Goswami)
Mukhyasya means “of that particular primary rasa which is revealed as one’s own, through one’s pastimes with the Lord.”

… although its actual position is as the main or prominent loving feeling of a devotee.
When an unconstitutional ecstasy of devotional service is manifested prominently at a certain time, it is still accepted as the part. If it is not very prominently manifested, it appears only slightly and merges quickly back into the whole.
