kecit tu nāyakasyāpi sarvathā tulya-rāgataḥ |
nāyikāsv apy anekāsu vadanty uparasaṁ śucim ||17||
Translation
Some say that madhuroparasa arises where the male lover does not distinguish between many types of women lovers and treats them all equally.

Those knowledgeable of rasa (kecit) say that madhuroparasa arises where the male lover treats all types of women with differing types of prema (nāyikāsu anekāsu) in the same way.
