tathā yaśodā-rohiṇyāv
ekaṁ śakaṭam āsthite
rejatuḥ kṛṣṇa-rāmābhyāṁ
tat-kathā-śravaṇotsuke

Translation
Thus hearing about the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma with great pleasure, mother Yaśodā and Rohiṇīdevī, so as not to be separated from Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma for even a moment, got up with Them on one bullock cart. In this situation, they all looked very beautiful.

Thus hearing about the pastimes of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma with great pleasure, mother Yaśodā and Rohiṇīdevī, so as not to be separated from Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma for even a moment, got up with Them on one bullock cart. In this situation, they all looked very beautiful.

Mother Yaśodā and Mother Rohiṇī were seated on a separate cart, and Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma were seated on their laps. While Mother Rohiṇī and Yaśodā were riding on the cart, they talked to Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, and feeling the pleasure of such talks, they looked very, very beautiful.
Purport
It appears that mother Yaśodā and Rohiṇī could not be separated from Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma even for a moment. They used to pass their time either by taking care of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma or by chanting about Their pastimes. Thus mother Yaśodā and Rohiṇī looked very beautiful.

They formed a half circle. In the back were stored all the household goods and front portion was wide so that the cows could easily come and go. This is described in the Visnu Purana. On the first day, the formation was made using the carts. Later they surrounded their dwellings with thorn bushes, thorny trees and branches.

With they were eager to hear the talk of Nanda, or they were eager to hear the two boys talk.

Tathā is an ornament of speech or indicates “among all that was described Yaśodā and Rohinī also were decorated with niṣkās etc.” They were on the cart with Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma because they wanted to hear stories from Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma. Out of affection neither of the two boys could give up the other. Or the mothers in eagerness to hear the two boys speak did not distinguish between them. Or they were eager to hear the two speak to each other. Kṛṣṇa is mentioned first in reference to Yaśodā and Balarāma to Rohiṇī. Or they wear to hear Kṛṣṇa speak with great sweetness.
