Translation
Then all the cowherd boys said: It is Kṛṣṇa who has done this. When He was in between the two trees, the mortar fell crosswise. Kṛṣṇa dragged the mortar, and the two trees fell down. After that, two beautiful men came out of the trees. We have seen this with our own eyes.

Then all the cowherd boys said: It is Kṛṣṇa who has done this. When He was in between the two trees, the mortar fell crosswise. Kṛṣṇa dragged the mortar, and the two trees fell down. After that, two beautiful men came out of the trees. We have seen this with our own eyes.

While the cowherd men were thus contemplating, the small children who were playing there informed the men that the trees had fallen because Kṛṣṇa had pulled the wooden mortar with the rope binding Him. “Kṛṣṇa came in between the two trees,” they explained, “and the wooden mortar was topsy-turvied and stuck in between the trees. Kṛṣṇa pulled the rope, and the trees fell down. When the trees fell down, two very dazzling men came out of the trees, and they said something to Kṛṣṇa.”

Kṛṣṇa’s playmates wanted to inform Kṛṣṇa’s father of the exact situation by explaining that not only did the trees break, but out of the broken trees came two beautiful men. “All these things happened,” they said. “We have seen them with our own eyes.”

The other boys said, "Krsna went between the trees pulling the mortar sideways." As the boys were filled with fear, they could not tell the complete story—they did not tell that the trees fell down. The elders did not believe this story. Therefore the boys again said, "We saw two men emerge from the trees."

Pointing out Kṛṣṇa covered in the leaves, the boys spoke on their own without being asked. “He did it.” Out of excitement they did not even say the complete sentence such as “He pulled down the trees.” How did he do it? He pulled the mortar went sideways between the trees. The boys were bewildered by the sweetness of Dāmodara.
